Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, has launched its Environmental Data Program, significantly expanding access to environmental information across its product portfolio.

This initiative builds on the company’s Green Premium label, boosting the number of disclosed environmental data attributes from 5 to 14. These include critical metrics like carbon footprint, energy efficiency, recycled content, and packaging impact—available for 110,000 commercial references, or 70% of product turnover. The company aims to extend coverage to 155,000 references by the end of 2025, reaching 80% of turnover.

The push for deeper product-level transparency comes as regulatory expectations rise—especially in light of measures like the draft EU Green Claims Directive—and as companies respond to the intensifying pressure of climate change and ESG accountability. With 2024 recorded as the hottest year on record, businesses are increasingly expected to demonstrate clear action and credible reporting.

Schneider Electric has been repeatedly recognized for its ESG leadership—including being named the world’s most sustainable company by Time Magazine and Statista in 2024, and by Corporate Knights in January 2025. The new Environmental Data Program reinforces that reputation, offering businesses a scalable way to integrate sustainability into procurement and product strategies.

For executives, investors, and decision-makers, the program presents not only a compliance advantage—but a strategic tool for enhancing brand trust, operational resilience, and long-term ESG value.
