EcoVadis, a leader in sustainability intelligence for global supply chains, has appointed Dexter Galvin as its new Climate Ambassador, marking a strategic move to fast-track corporate decarbonization initiatives.
A recognized authority in supply chain sustainability and Scope 3 emissions, Galvin brings over 16 years of experience from CDP, where he most recently served as Chief Commercial and Partnerships Officer. There, he built and led CDP’s flagship supply chain program, expanding it to include over 340 major buyers and more than 20,000 suppliers worldwide. His efforts helped position supply chain emissions—often the largest component of a company’s carbon footprint—at the center of corporate climate action.
“EcoVadis provides organizations access to the highest quality primary carbon data available on the market today and plays a pivotal role in driving meaningful action on reducing emissions and building resilience across the global supply chain,” said Galvin. “This role is an incredible opportunity to work alongside the smartest minds in business sustainability and make an exponential impact at scale.”

Galvin’s arrival comes at a critical inflection point, as 51% of companies remain behind their 2030 Scope 3 emissions reduction targets. His role will focus on deepening partnerships, steering climate forums, and advancing decarbonization strategies with the world’s largest enterprises.

This appointment builds on the momentum of EcoVadis’s recent launch of the Carbon Data Network (CDN), which addresses a central challenge in decarbonization: inaccurate and fragmented carbon data. CDN offers companies access to verified, high-quality primary carbon data from a network encompassing over 150,000 organizations, enabling more effective Scope 3 emissions tracking and reduction.
“Unlocking the next generation of Scope 3 emissions reduction requires a new level of carbon data reliability that does not exist in the market today,” said Pierre-Francois Thaler, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of EcoVadis. “Dexter’s experience and expertise will be instrumental as we continue on our mission to decarbonize supply chains faster.”

With Galvin on board, EcoVadis is poised to play a pivotal role in equipping global companies with the tools and partnerships needed to meet climate targets and embed resilience across value chains.
