Helin Cox, a seasoned chemical engineer known for scaling critical climate technologies globally, has been appointed Chief Technology Officer at Climeworks.
Her extensive expertise spans technology commercialization, industrial scale-up, and R&D portfolio development, aligning precisely with Climeworks’ current phase.

Cox previously served as Senior Director of Technology Development at Honeywell UOP, where she led the commercialization of renewable fuels, carbon capture, clean hydrogen, and energy storage technologies. Her deep experience in catalysts, adsorptive separations, membrane technologies, and equipment design directly complements Climeworks’ DAC technology development.
At Climeworks, Cox will head a team of 150 engineers and scientists, focusing on optimizing DAC technology for maximum efficiency—achieving higher CO₂ capture rates with significantly lower energy consumption.

Her role involves rigorous validation of innovative filter materials, process designs, and equipment within Climeworks’ advanced testing facilities, progressing technologies from lab scale to commercial readiness.
